SPRITZ VIBES
While the origins of the classic spritz is said to be Venice, the Austrians were also spritzing in the 1900s adding a splash of spritz to local dry wines. The practice of pouring soda into still wine or blending prosecco with bitter sweet liqueurs has been a long standing convivial tradition.
Like the Austrians, the Aussies through the ’70s and ’80s were owning their own version of a spritz. A mix of dry white wine and soda served over ice, in a long glass, ultimately delivering a refreshing summer drink with a lower alcohol content.
Fast forward and the spritz trend continues to play a role in the Australian drinking lifestyle. This timeless low alcohol wine based drink has been celebrated and enjoyed through the decades – from tennis clubs to Aussie barbies.
At Little Spritz, we unequivocally see this as a STYLE of drinking, rather than a specific recipe. A refreshing drink, lower alcohol and a little spritz. We are also committed to producing our niche brand in small batch runs and always locally on the Mornington Peninsula.
Spritz is the feeling of holidays, a party, relaxed lunches, summer tunes, spring carnival, sunbathing, a dip in the ocean, the polo, road tripping, island hideaways, picnics – the memories and feelings are infinite. Still, they all say one thing:
THREE FLAVOURS TO CHOOSE FROM
PEACH BELLINI
THE PERFECT MORNING COCKTAIL, CIN CIN
The Australian sparkling wine pairs well with the fruity character of stone fruit. Blended with essence of passionfruit, this spritz has a big personality. Peach Bellini delivers enticing aromas, refreshing acidity, complemented by a dry finish.
Serving suggestions
The celebratory breakfast, be it the polo, the races, Christmas or your birthday, just serve chilled in a champagne flute, or over ice in a wine glass. If you want to get fancy, strawberries and raspberries complement beautifully, as does fresh mandarin or tangelo!
ELDERFLOWER
& ROSE WATER
This Little Spritz is no wallflower
The combination of the elderflower and rose water delivers a delicate floral scent, the crisp sparkling wine provides a lovely balance. Although a gorgeous drink by itself, the flavour profile completely changes when you blend complementary ingredients – wild berries or kiwi fruit are a smash.
Serving suggestions
Grab your crew and organise a cocktail lunch in the sun. Have fun with this little lady, she’s an excellent base for cocktail making. Try adding gin and a generous squeeze of fresh grapefruit. Garnish with a sprig of thyme or mint – voila a Gin Spritz.
BLOOD ORANGE
& BITTERS
IF YOU ENJOY A CLASSIC SPRITZ AND A BITTER STYLE,
YOU’LL LOVE OUR BOB
A blend of Australian sparkling wine, blood orange and angostura style bitters deliver a classic spritz. Full of zest with a distinctive bitter and dry finish.
Serving suggestions
Keep it simple, splash over ice and garnish with the queen of citrus, blood orange. The addition of any orange varietal will provide a natural sweetness. To be enjoyed with olives, pretzels and all things salty.
LITTLE SPRITZ BIZ
LITTLE SPRITZ IS LOCALLY OWNED AND HANDCRAFTED IN DROMANA ON VICTORIA’S MORNINGTON PENINSULA
Little Spritz is made with Australian sparkling wine, natural fruit, botanicals, spices and soda. We run a boutique operation, and our small scale production is 100% managed on site. Our small team hold many positions – we blend, taste, make, bottle, pack, distribute and greet you at our on site spritz bar and cellar door.
Produced alongside Little Spritz is Mr Little Cider and Peninsula Cider. Matt Little, of Mr Little Cider and winemaker Mal Stewart, have been operating from the Dromana site since 2017, but producing cider and sparkling wine for much longer. They’re dedicated to producing some of the Peninsula’s most authentic ciders, sourcing fruit from local orchards.
Along came a marketer and spritz fanatic, Natalie Sevior and that’s when this song and dance started. Combining our years of experience, zeal and creativity, Little Spritz was created.
Our office and inspiration is the beautiful Mornington Peninsula where we indulge a love for crafting small batch quality produce, whilst enjoying a coastal lifestyle.
